TOUR 4 : PERU AND
BOLIVIA

Day
1:
Arriving in la Paz , you will be met at the airport and taken to
your hotel.
Rest of the day free to visit the city.
Day 2:
In the morning you leave for the the town of Copacabana which is
a religious center at the shores of Lake Titicaca.
Upon arrival you check in at your hotel and soon after you have
lunch. In the afternoon you will visit Isla del Sol (Sun Island).
Day 3:
Free morning to go around the town of Copacabana from where there
are spectaculair views over the lake. In the town itself is the
Cathedral where one can visit the famous statue of our Lady of Copacabana.
Every year thousands and thousands of pelgrims visit this Cathedral.
In the afternoon you will be leaving for Puno. From Copacabana to
the Bolivian / Peruvian border only takes about 20 minutes and after
clearing migration it is about another 3 hours drive to Puno.
Day 4:
At nine o´clock you will be taken to the port of Puno to take
a motor boat to the Floating Reed Islands (Uros). It takes about
40 minutes to get here. We will visit some of the islands and there
is also the opportunity to do a short trip on one of the reedboats.
At half past two you will be taken to Sillustani. This site is about
34 km (about 45 min) away from Puno. At this archeological site
are the "Chullpas" which are pre-inca burrial towers.
After being here for about one and an half hour you will return
to Puno.
Day 5:
Morning departure for bus journey to Cusco which takes about 8 hours.
During this journey you Hill have beautiful views of the High Plateau
and the mountains. Upon arrival you will be taken to your hotel.
Day 6:
Excursion to the Sacred Valley. This visit last all day and is only
done on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. You visit the small market
town of Pisaq, the ruins of Ollantaytambo and the small community
of Chincheros. Lunch included in a restaurant in the Sacred Valley.
Day 7:
Free morning.
In the afternoon there is a city tour which last for about three
and a half hours and you will visit the nearby ruins of Sacsayhuaman,
Quenqo, Pukipucara and Tambomachay. It also includes the temple
of the sun (Qoricancha) and the cathedral. To enter all this sites
and lots of other sites in the city you need a tourist ticket (BTC)
which comes included in the price.
Day 8:
A visit to Machu Picchu:This excursion last all day. You will be
collected from the hotel and transferred to the train station. The
comfortable tourist train will take you to the small town of Aquas
Calientes from where busses leave to the ruins (+/- 20 min). A guided
tour through the ruins of about two and a half hours followed with
an opportunity for lunch (not included). Some more time to explore
the ruins and then back by bus and train to Cuzco where you will
be transferred to your hotel.
Day
9:
At eight o´clock you will be taken taken to the airport for
your return flight to La Paz. At the moment this flight only goes
on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Upon arrival in La Paz you will
be taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to visit the
city or do some shopping.
Day
10:
Transfer from the hotel to the airport for your internacional flight
out of La Paz.

- Flight Cusco/La Paz.
- All transfers mentioned in La Paz, Puno, and Cusco.

visited during the excurcions.
